1. The Short Answer
Seven international schools in Puchong are on the Ministry of Education’s register. Four of them publish fee figures. Using those figures, a year of tuition for Years 1 to 11 costs between about RM10,800 (Axcel, Year 1 estimate) and RM57,240 (Taylor’s, Years 10–11, 2027 fees). Across all eleven years, the same four schools range from roughly RM165,000 to RM476,000 in tuition alone, before any fee increases.
Three schools — Prime, Lead International and Maplewood — do not publish fees online and quote them during a consultation. That doesn’t make them expensive or cheap. It means you need a written schedule from them before you can compare.
How this guide was built. Every competitor figure below comes from that school’s own website, checked on 25 September 2026. Where a school does not publish a figure, we say so rather than estimate one. Registration status was checked against the Ministry of Education’s SMIPS register the same day. Service Pro is Axcel International School’s enquiry partner, so Axcel’s figures come from Axcel: its primary fees are estimates and marked as such, and its secondary fees are its confirmed 2027-intake fees. Fees change every year: confirm the current schedule with any school before you pay.
2. All 7 Registered Schools at a Glance
Every school below appears in the Ministry of Education’s SMIPS list as an international school with a Puchong address. The fee column shows the published annual tuition range for Years 1 to 11, the years every school on the list teaches.

Sources: each school’s website and the MOE SMIPS register, checked 25 September 2026. Taylor’s publishes one fee schedule covering its Kuala Lumpur and Puchong campuses. Inspiros resource fees are RM1,300 a year (up to Year 2) and RM2,300 (Year 3 onwards).
Two schools you may see elsewhere are not in the table. Regent International School’s website now lists campuses only in Klang, Kuantan and Sungai Petani, not Puchong. Pine Hills markets a “Puchong” campus, but its address is on Jalan Puchong in Kuala Lumpur (58200). Two other names that appear in directories, Brighthill International (Bandar Kinrara) and Mont Victoria, did not come up in our SMIPS search, and we could not confirm their current details from their websites. If either is on your list, ask the school directly for its registration details.
3. Year-by-Year Tuition: The Four Schools That Publish Figures
Fees rise as your child moves up, and they rise at different rates at each school. Here is annual tuition at five points in a child’s school life.
| School (fee year) | Nursery / Reception | Year 1 | Year 6 | Year 7 | Year 11 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Axcel (monthly fee × 12; primary estimated) | Not offered | ~RM10,800–12,600 | ~RM12,600–14,400 | RM18,000 | RM20,400 |
| Inspiros Puchong (current schedule) | RM12,000 | RM13,200 | RM16,800 | RM18,200 | RM21,500 |
| Rafflesia Puchong (2026/2027) | RM16,233 | RM23,400 | RM34,965 | RM44,415 | RM49,800 |
| Taylor’s Puchong (2027) | RM19,830 | RM27,450 | RM42,630 | RM48,930 | RM57,240 |
Tuition only. Inspiros adds a resource fee of RM1,300–2,300 a year, and its Year 10–11 fee covers up to 8 IGCSE subjects (RM1,200 for each extra subject). Axcel’s primary figures are its own monthly estimates; its secondary fees for the 2027 intake are RM1,500 a month (Years 7–9) and RM1,700 (Years 10–11).
Watch the jump into secondary school. At Rafflesia, tuition rises from RM34,965 in Year 6 to RM44,415 in Year 7, a 27% increase in one year. At Taylor’s it rises from RM42,630 to RM48,930. At Inspiros and Axcel the step is smaller in ringgit terms. If you are choosing a school in Year 1, budget for Year 7 onwards, not just for this year’s fee.
4. What You Actually Pay in the First Year
The tuition figure is not the cheque you write in January. Most schools add a non-refundable application fee, a non-refundable registration fee and a deposit. Here is the first-year outlay for a child joining Year 1 or Year 7, using each school’s published one-off fees.
| School | Application | Registration | Deposit | First year, Year 1 entry | First year, Year 7 entry |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Axcel | RM500 (RM250 with the Jan 2027 50% waiver) | RM3,000 | Ask admissions | ~RM14,050 (with waiver) | RM21,250 (with waiver) |
| Inspiros Puchong | RM1,000 | RM3,000 | RM3,500 | RM18,500 + RM3,500 deposit | RM24,500 + RM3,500 deposit |
| Rafflesia Puchong | RM1,000 | RM3,000 | One term’s tuition | RM27,400 + RM7,800 deposit | RM48,415 + RM14,805 deposit |
| Taylor’s Puchong | RM1,000 | RM6,000 (RM5,000 Early Years) | One term’s tuition | RM34,450 + deposit | RM55,930 + deposit |
| Prime | RM100 | Not published | Not published | Secondary only | Ask the school |
First-year figures = application + registration + one year’s tuition (plus the resource fee at Inspiros). Deposits are shown separately because refund terms differ by school; ask for them in writing. Lead International and Maplewood do not publish one-off fees.
Then there are the extras. Rafflesia’s fee page lists items billed outside tuition: meal plan, uniform, textbooks and exercise books, a digital device, co-curricular activity fees, overseas trips and exam fees. That list is typical, not unusual. Whichever school you choose, ask for the full list of charges for a year, and ask whether Cambridge IGCSE exam entry fees for Year 11 are included or billed separately.
5. The 11-Year Picture: Year 1 to IGCSE
A school fee is a long commitment. Adding up published tuition from Year 1 to Year 11 at today’s fees shows how far apart the schools really are. Real totals will be higher, because every school revises fees over time.
| School | Primary (Years 1–6) | Secondary (Years 7–11) | Total, Years 1–11 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Axcel (primary estimated) | ~RM70,200–81,000 | RM94,800 | ~RM165,000–175,800 |
| Inspiros Puchong (incl. resource fee) | RM103,100 | RM110,200 | RM213,300 |
| Rafflesia Puchong | RM186,660 | RM232,845 | RM419,505 |
| Taylor’s Puchong | RM207,540 | RM268,500 | RM476,040 |
Sum of each year’s published tuition at the fee year shown in Section 3, with no increases applied. One-off fees, deposits and extras are excluded.
The gap between the lowest and highest published schools is more than RM300,000 per child over eleven years, before any fee increases. For a family with two children, that difference can decide whether university abroad is affordable later. It is also why the next section matters: you should know what the extra money buys.
6. What the Fee Difference Actually Buys
All seven schools lead to the same Cambridge IGCSE at Year 11. The fee gap is mostly paid for by four things, and each family values them differently.
Campus and facilities
Purpose-built campuses cost more to run. Taylor’s Puchong describes an 8-acre campus with a swimming pool, a 450-seat auditorium and an indoor sports hall, for nearly 1,500 students. Several other Puchong schools, Axcel included, run from commercial buildings. If swimming and on-site sport matter to your child every week, ask each school what it has on site and what happens off site.
Early years and sixth form
Schools that take children from age 3 (Taylor’s, Rafflesia, Inspiros) spare you a change of school at 5. Rafflesia also publishes an A Level programme for Years 12–13, so a child could stay on after IGCSE. Axcel starts at Year 1 and ends at Year 11, as do most schools on this list, so plan where your child goes after IGCSE.
Class size and attention
Ask every school for its maximum class size in your child’s year group, not an average for the whole school. Axcel keeps classes to around 15–25 students. Smaller classes help most in the first year after a switch from a national or SJK(C) school, when English and new ways of learning take time.
Curriculum style
Taylor’s and Rafflesia use the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) in primary, a theme-based approach, before Cambridge secondary. Axcel, Prime and Lead use Cambridge from primary or secondary onwards. Maplewood also runs a homeschool track. Neither approach is better for every child, so ask to see a week’s timetable for your child’s year.
7. School-by-School Profiles
Listed alphabetically. Each profile uses only what the school publishes about itself and its MOE registration.
Axcel International School — Puchong Batu 14
Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary and IGCSE for Years 1–11 at Komersial Casa Tropika, Jalan Bunga Raya. Monthly fees run from about RM900 in Year 1 (an estimate) to RM1,500 in Years 7–9 and RM1,700 in Years 10–11 (2027 intake). Classes are kept to around 15–25 students. The timetable adds Singapore Maths, trilingual English, Mandarin and Malay, and the Axcel Programme of life-skills modules. There is no school-run bus fleet; the school keeps a list of independent neighbourhood transporters. The RM500 application fee is halved to RM250 for the January 2027 intake once the entry assessment is passed, the registration fee is RM3,000, and sibling discounts are available. MOE SMIPS code BUBH025.
Inspiros International School — SetiaWalk, Pusat Bandar Puchong
A British-syllabus school for ages 3 to 17 with a Cambridge exam centre, located in the SetiaWalk development. It publishes a full Puchong fee schedule: RM12,000 a year for Pre-Nursery to Reception, rising to RM21,500 in Year 11, plus a RM1,300–2,300 resource fee. One-off fees are a RM1,000 application fee, RM3,000 registration fee and RM3,500 security deposit. Inspiros also runs a campus in Klang. It holds two SMIPS registrations in Puchong: BUBH012 and BUBH036 (primary).
Lead International School — Bandar Kinrara
Run by LSL Education Group at Bandar Kinrara Industrial Park. It follows the Cambridge International Curriculum from Reception to Year 11. It describes itself as a small, community-focused private international school and says it is near Alam Sutera LRT. It does not publish fees; it gives each family a personalised fee schedule at consultation. Listed in SMIPS as Lead International Secondary School (BUB2010).
Maplewood International School — Taman Mas, Puchong
A Cambridge IGCSE school with preschool, primary and secondary levels. It also offers a homeschool option, and runs other centres in Seri Kembangan, Cyberjaya and Putrajaya. Fees are not published online. If you are weighing the homeschool track, ask how many hours a week your child would be taught on site and who enters them for IGCSE exams. SMIPS code BUB9002.
Prime International Secondary School — Taman Puchong Utama
A secondary-only Cambridge school at Dataran Puchong, formerly called Cambridge Asia Learning Academy. It runs Pre-Year 7, Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary (IGCSE), with a stated focus on English, leadership and public speaking. Admission is by an online placement test in English, Mathematics and Science after a RM100 application fee, and trial classes are offered. Tuition is not published. SMIPS code BUBH033.
Rafflesia International School — Bandar 16 Sierra
Early Years (IEYC), Primary (IPC) and Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE, with A Level for Years 12–13. The 2026/2027 fees are RM16,233 for Nursery and Reception, RM23,400 for Years 1–2, RM34,965 for Years 3–6, RM44,415 for Years 7–9, RM49,800 for Years 10–11 and RM61,500 for A Level, billed over three terms. The same site also has separately registered Rafflesia private primary and secondary schools, which follow a different curriculum; make sure your offer letter names the one you mean. SMIPS code BUBI002.
Taylor’s International School — Bandar Bukit Puchong
The largest campus on this list: 8 acres, nearly 1,500 students, a pool, an auditorium and an indoor sports hall. Early Years follows IEYC and primary follows IPC with the National Curriculum for England, leading to IGCSE at 16, with trilingual learning in English, Malay and Mandarin. Its 2027 fees run from RM19,830 (Nursery and Reception) to RM57,240 (Years 10–11), with a RM1,000 application fee, a RM6,000 registration fee (RM5,000 for Early Years) and a deposit of one term’s tuition. SMIPS code BUBH004.
8. How to Check a School Is Registered (2 Minutes)
Every private and international school in Malaysia must be registered with the Ministry of Education under the Education Act 1996. You can check any school yourself:
- Open the MOE SMIPS school list.
- Choose SELANGOR under Negeri and SEK. ANTARABANGSA under Jenis Sekolah, then press CARI.
- Find the school by name and check that the address matches the campus you visited.
- If a school is not listed, or is listed under a different name or address, ask it to explain before you pay any fee.
Authority Reference: Registration details verified against the Ministry of Education Malaysia SMIPS register on 25 September 2026.
9. Ten Questions to Ask Every School Before You Pay
Ask each school on your shortlist the same questions, in writing, so the answers can be compared line by line.
- What is the full fee for my child’s year group this year and next, and when were fees last increased?
- Which one-off fees are non-refundable, and on what terms is the deposit returned?
- What is billed outside tuition: uniform, books, devices, meals, activities, trips, exam entry?
- Can we pay monthly or termly, and is there a discount for paying the year upfront or for siblings?
- What is the maximum class size in my child’s year group?
- What English support is there for a child moving from a national or SJK(C) school?
- Which Cambridge IGCSE subjects are offered, and how many can my child take?
- Where do Year 11 leavers usually go next: A-Levels, foundation or diploma?
- How does my child get to school, and what does transport cost from our area?
- Can my child attend a trial day, and can I see this term’s timetable?
10. Where Axcel Fits, and When Another School May Suit You Better
Axcel is built for families who want the Cambridge pathway to IGCSE at a fee well below the large-campus schools, with small classes and a strong Mandarin and Singapore Maths element. It suits children moving from SJK(C) or national schools, and families who are counting the cost over eleven years, not just one.
Another school on this list may suit you better if:
- You need Nursery or Reception at the same school. Axcel starts at Year 1; Inspiros, Rafflesia and Taylor’s start at age 3.
- You want A-Levels on the same campus after IGCSE. Of the seven, only Rafflesia publishes an A Level programme.
- A large campus with an on-site pool and auditorium is a priority. That is what Taylor’s fees pay for.
- You need a bus service run by the school itself. Axcel works through independent transporters instead.
If none of those applies, put Axcel on your shortlist and compare it using the ten questions above. Its Cambridge IGCSE curriculum in Puchong and school transport options in Puchong are explained in full on their own pages.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions Puchong parents ask most when comparing schools.
Among the four Puchong schools with published figures, annual tuition for Years 1 to 11 runs from about RM10,800 (Axcel’s Year 1 estimate) to RM57,240 (Taylor’s Years 10 and 11 for 2027). Inspiros charges RM13,200 to RM21,500 plus a resource fee, and Rafflesia charges RM23,400 to RM49,800. Prime, Lead International and Maplewood do not publish their fees online.
Of the schools that publish figures, Axcel’s estimates are the lowest at about RM900 a month (roughly RM10,800 a year) for Year 1, followed by Inspiros at RM13,200 plus a RM1,300 resource fee. Prime, Lead International and Maplewood do not publish fees, so ask each of them for a written schedule before concluding which is cheapest for your child’s year group.
There is no official ranking of Malaysian international schools, and none of the seven is best for every child. Decide on your priorities first: budget over 11 years, class size, campus facilities, whether you need nursery years or A-Levels on the same campus, and travel time. Then visit your shortlist and ask each school the same questions.
The Ministry of Education’s SMIPS register listed eight international school registrations with Puchong addresses when we checked on 25 September 2026. They belong to seven schools, because Inspiros holds separate primary and school registrations: Axcel, Inspiros, Lead International, Maplewood, Prime, Rafflesia and Taylor’s.
Open the SMIPS school list at smips.moe.gov.my, choose Selangor as the state and SEK. ANTARABANGSA as the school type, then press CARI. Registered schools appear with their registration code and address. If a school you are considering is not listed, ask it for its registration details before paying any fee.
Expect a non-refundable application fee (RM100 at Prime, RM500 at Axcel, halved to RM250 for the January 2027 intake, and RM1,000 at Taylor’s, Rafflesia and Inspiros), a registration fee (RM3,000 at Axcel, Rafflesia and Inspiros, RM5,000 to RM6,000 at Taylor’s) and a deposit (RM3,500 at Inspiros, one term’s tuition at Taylor’s and Rafflesia). Uniforms, meals, textbooks, devices, activities, trips and exam fees are often billed on top of tuition.
Of the seven, Rafflesia International School Puchong publishes an A Level fee for Years 12 and 13, at RM61,500 a year for 2026/2027. The other schools’ published programmes end at Year 11 with the Cambridge IGCSE, after which students move to a college for A-Levels, a foundation year or another pre-university course.
Since July 2025, 6% service tax applies to international school fees above RM60,000 a year per student. None of the Year 1 to Year 11 tuition figures published by Puchong schools is above that line. Rafflesia’s A Level years, at RM61,500, are the only published Puchong figure above it.
It depends on the school. Rafflesia bills per term across three terms a year, Taylor’s publishes annual fees with a deposit equal to one term’s tuition, Inspiros lists annual tuition and resource fees, and Axcel quotes monthly figures. Ask each school whether paying for the full year in advance earns a discount.
Send Axcel’s admissions team a WhatsApp message through the buttons on this page. They will send you the current fee schedule for your child’s year group and arrange a campus visit at Casa Tropika, Puchong Batu 14.
