What is the difference between dry cleaning and steam extraction for leather sofas?
Great question. For leather sofas, we never use steam extraction — that method is for fabric only. Applying water or steam to leather strips its natural oils, causes cracking, and can permanently damage the surface. For leather, we use a dry pH-balanced cleaning solution applied by hand with microfibre cloths, followed by a conditioning treatment. This cleans without moisture, restores suppleness, and protects the leather surface long-term.
