Honest Healing Timeline Explained

Non-Medical

Beauty Salon, Not a Clinic

Brows are the treatment people most regret rushing. Quotes swing from RM199 to RM650 with nobody explaining the difference, the shape gets chosen in five minutes, and almost nobody warns you that weeks two and three are when you will hate them. We map the shape on your face first, talk you through the full healing timeline, and only start when you are genuinely happy with what you are looking at.

Brows, Lashes & Hair Removal

Five treatments, each explained honestly — including who they do not suit.

Brows

Eyebrow Embroidery

Sulam kening β€” semi-permanent brows that save you ten minutes every morning. Shape mapped and agreed before we begin, with the full four-to-six week healing timeline explained up front.

Eyeliner

Eyeliner Embroidery

A soft, defined lash line that survives humidity, swimming and a long day. Subtle by default β€” we would rather you were asked whether you look well-rested than whether you had it done.

Lashes

Eyelash Extensions

Added length and volume, applied lash by lash. They last three to four weeks and need infills β€” we will be straight with you about that upkeep before you start, not after.

Lash Lift

Keratin Lash Lift

Curls and lifts your own lashes rather than adding new ones. Lasts four to eight weeks with no infills, which makes it the lower-maintenance and cheaper-over-a-year option.

Hair Removal

Laser & Extraction

Salon-tier laser hair removal and traditional extraction. Laser costs more up front and less over three years; extraction is cheaper per visit. We will tell you which makes sense for how long you plan to keep going.

Brow & Lash Questions, Answered

Including the parts most salons do not mention.

Four to six weeks before the colour truly settles. The first few days look darker and bolder than the end result. Weeks two and three involve flaking and a stage where the brows look patchy or seem to have faded badly β€” this is the part that panics people, and it is completely normal. The colour then comes back up. We walk you through this before you book, because knowing the timeline is the difference between a worrying month and a relaxed one.

Microblading is the famous one, but it is not automatically the right one. It creates fine hair-like strokes that look very natural on normal to dry skin, while powder brows give a soft shaded finish. On oily skin, microblading strokes often blur within a year, which is an expensive disappointment β€” so for many people in our humidity, powder is the better long-term choice. We recommend based on your skin, not on what is trending.

Mostly artist experience, pigment quality, and whether a touch-up is included. Very low prices are often promotional rates for a new artist building a portfolio, and sometimes exclude the touch-up that the result genuinely needs. Brows sit on your face for a year or more, so this is one of the poorer places to shop purely on price. We will quote you clearly and tell you exactly what is included.

Extensions add new lashes for a more dramatic look, lasting three to four weeks before needing infills. A lash lift curls and lifts the lashes you already have, lasting four to eight weeks with no infills. Extensions win on day one; a lift usually wins over a year on both cost and effort. If your natural lashes are healthy and reasonably full, a lift often gives people exactly what they wanted at a fraction of the upkeep.

Properly applied and properly removed, they should not. Damage usually comes from extensions that are too heavy for the natural lash, or from people pulling them off themselves. Do not pull them out β€” come back and let us remove them. General eye-safety guidance is worth reading from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and if you have sensitive eyes, tell us before we start.

It depends entirely on how long you plan to keep going. Waxing is cheaper every visit; laser costs more up front but usually works out cheaper by around the third year because sessions taper off. Laser also works best on darker hair against lighter skin, so results vary by hair colour and skin tone and we will be honest about what to expect rather than promising permanence.

Yes, for embroidery pigment and for lash adhesive. It is a small step that takes a few minutes and it is worth doing β€” reactions are uncommon but far easier to prevent than to fix. If you have had a reaction to pigment, adhesive or hair dye before, tell us at the consultation.

Yes, but the technique matters more. Oily skin tends to blur fine microblading strokes faster, so a powder or combination approach usually holds better and stays looking clean for longer. This is exactly the sort of thing the free consultation sorts out β€” five minutes looking at your skin saves a year of regret.

Madam ChooDesa Jaya2026-08-20
Morning bos, my brows look patchy and uneven around day 12, some part very light some part gone, is it going to stay like that ah?
Service Pro Beauty TeamVerified Beautician2026-08-20
Good morning Madam Choo, please don't worry β€” the patchy, uneven look between day 10 and day 18 is one of the most common concerns we hear, and it's a normal part of the eyebrow embroidery healing cycle. As the skin finishes shedding, pigment can appear to fade unevenly in different spots before it fully settles, which makes brows look lighter in some areas and more solid in others temporarily. This is not the final result. The true color only reveals itself around week 4 to 6, once the skin has completely healed underneath. Avoid applying makeup or brow products over the area during this stage to let it heal properly. If touch-up is needed once fully healed, our therapists at Brow & Co Aman Puri Kepong can advise. WhatsApp us at 601151207390 anytime.

Puan ZafirahKepong Baru2026-08-13
Hi, my eyebrow embroidery start flaking already around day 5, itchy a bit, can scratch or not?
Service Pro Beauty TeamVerified Beautician2026-08-13
Hi Puan Zafirah, flaking between day 4 and day 10 is a totally normal stage of eyebrow embroidery healing β€” the top layer of skin is naturally shedding as it repairs itself, and a little itchiness often comes along with that. The important thing is to resist scratching or picking at the flakes, even though it's tempting! Picking can pull out pigment unevenly and affect how the final color turns out. Instead, let the flakes lift off on their own, keep the area clean and dry, and avoid heavy sweating, swimming, or sun exposure during this stage. If the itch is bothering you, a light pat rather than a scratch usually helps. This phase passes within a few days for most clients. WhatsApp us at 601151207390 if you'd like our therapists to take a look.

Mr. LimBandar Menjalara2026-08-08
Hello Service Pro, after eyebrow embroidery my brows very dark and bold for first few days, this normal or not?
Service Pro Beauty TeamVerified Beautician2026-08-08
Hello Mr. Lim, yes, this is completely normal and expected! In the first 1 to 3 days after eyebrow embroidery, the pigment sits close to the skin's surface and hasn't settled yet, so the color always looks darker and bolder than the final result β€” almost like a stronger, more defined brow than what you'll end up with long-term. Please don't panic during this stage, it's simply part of the healing process and not a sign anything went wrong. Keep the area dry and avoid touching or picking at it. The color will soften naturally as healing progresses over the following weeks. If you're ever unsure whether what you're seeing is normal, feel free to send us a photo on WhatsApp at 601151207390 and our therapists at Brow & Co Aman Puri Kepong will check on it for you.

Ms. FarahTaman Ehsan2026-08-02
Hi Bos, what exactly is eyebrow embroidery ah? Never try before, want to understand how it works.
Service Pro Beauty TeamVerified Beautician2026-08-02
Hi Farah, great question! Eyebrow embroidery is a semi-permanent brow technique where fine, hair-like strokes are drawn into the skin to build a fuller, more defined shape that follows your natural brow pattern. It's not tattooing in the old bold-ink sense β€” the strokes are designed to mimic real brow hairs, so the result looks soft and natural rather than drawn-on. At Brow & Co Aman Puri Kepong, our therapists start by mapping your face shape and existing brow growth before any strokes are done, so the final shape suits you specifically. We also offer a FREE trial with no package sign-up needed, so you can see the process and consult first before deciding. WhatsApp us at 601151207390 to book a slot!
